Learning Targets for today....
The preview video we watched...
Keep the above John Green quotation (he's right) as well as the concept of "Grit" in mind...this was your first AP World Test and the grand scheme of things it is but a blip on the radar at best. Plus you'll get smarter, better at AP World skills and techniques, so long as you do the work as best you can. Keep your heads up! - Bags
HW: Check Student Share Folder (link will work if you are logged into GoogleDrive already) for a Unit #2 Folder containing "Our World's Story Unit #2 Chapters" and "Our World's Story Cornell Note Templates" (use your own or the template; copies will be available in class tomorrow).
Most wonderful AP World HIstorians,
Examine the entry screen in detailed fashioned, help the Guest Teacher get stuff rolling (you guys should be able to run the class on your own to some degree).. See you all Monday for the Unit #1 Test! Go Cats! Go Hawks! = Bags
Thur. 9/24 - Recapping due dates and the near future, LT Project Presentations and picking up the pieces from all of Bag's absences.
Once again, apologies for having been absent. Not like me, nor something that makes yours or my jobs any easier.
Dearest AP World Historians,
I had to retrieve my kids mid-day yesterday due to fevers and they can't go back to daycare until they are better, and seeing as how Mrs. B. is out of town and I couldn't find other childcare coverage I'm out again today. Apologies, thanks for being awesome and adjusting.
Background info for video (lots of direct AP World connections!!! Check it out)!
Video Link for "Origins and Early Societies"
Thanks for being awesome! I hate missing school, but I gotta care for my other kiddos in this case! See you tomorrow. - Bags
Tue. 9/22 - Q&A, schedule/test updates, grade talk and passback of papers, a fire drill, and LT Presentation Work-time.
First of all, after class today I got a call that my kids were sick at daycare and had to go pick them up. Because they had fevers, they can't go tomorrow and because Mrs. B. is out of town on work stuff...I'm on my own and thus, will not be at school tomorrow. The joys of kids in daycare...someday you'll all understand (or perhaps our society will have evolved better childcare for working folks by then...but as a pessimist I doubt it).
Now for the good (or bad depending on how you look at it). news...
Learning Targets from today...
Check your student email and you'll find an email from Bags containing a link to the class collection of your LT Presentations (see screen shots below).
Learning Targets for Monday 9.21.2015...
Be good for Mr. Lindstrom you guys. Keep your focus on the LTs, the test is this week! I wish I didn't have to be gone but my shoulder needs a cortisone injection and the only time they could get me in for the next few weeks was middle of school day today.
We will conduct informal presentations with discussion tomorrow.
