Today we first examined bathroom and hallway pass expectations (see slide below). The bulk of our time was spent creating "Grit" Posters (see slides below).
Due: Summer Projects (Maps and Crash Course Qs), "Grit" Annotations and Questions
Friday we started with a discussion of the readings from "Our World's Story". Students were given a handout of chapters 1-4 and were instructed to read, annotate, and be prepared to discuss/ask questions on Wednesday 9/9. The bulk of the class was spent examining "Grit" (see docs attached below). This packet is due Tuesday 9/8 at start of class.
This is the TEDEd Talk we watched by Dr. Angela Duckworth, who's study of "Grit" is the basis of this activity (including article and questions below).
