Dearest AP World Historians,
Tomorrow is the Unit 2 Test. But you aren't ready so I've decided to push the test back a bit. Tomorrow will be another review day, we will do the map portion Friday and the rest of the test on Monday. Please use this extra time to improve your knowledge, not to relax....time is finite resource, what we take now is time we don't have to use later so don't waste it! Your overly caring and enabling leader, Bags Thursday we worked on the Greece-Rome Study Guides, then Friday you took a quiz (see slides below). Check the Work/HW and Google Drive for details.
In-class: work on the "Greece-Rome Study Guide" (collected at end of period; will be redistributed tomorrow). Use the docs in Unit #2 Folder on GoogleDrive to help with the Study Guides.
HW: LTs, LT Projects, Persia-China-India Study Guide etc. PS - My MacBook died today, so no screen shots, if you want to see slides go to GoogleDrive. Later, Bags Dearest Big Historians,
Today we took what is normally an "Assessment" and used it as part of a research-based learning activity. Entitled the "Persia-China-India Study Guide" packet, students are to use the assigned resources (see screen below) to find the information they need, to examine it closely, and to write down evidence-based analysis/answers. This is an in-class assignment for Monday-Tuesday). HW: Our World's Story Notes for Chap. 9-12 (or 13? whatever is in the packet online) are due tomorrow, and you should be working on Chap. 9/12 LTs too. If I'm out tomorrow, apologies...just can't seem to get healthy with my kids sick all the time I'm bound to get their #daycareplagues too. May not make it in the AM for test corrections so be aware!!! But Bopp will be here after-school Monday and Tuesday afternoons and Bags should be back on Wednesday AM (also will host afternoon corrections on Wed.). Have a great day/night! Bags Dearest Big Historians,
Today we started by debriefing timeline of the unit, the reality that we are behind and need to speed up, divvied out the next set of Vocab/LT projects for Chapter 9/12 "India" focus, and then had some work=time to get started. Monday we will have a quiz on Persia and China (Qin/Han) so be ready. You guys are doing fine, and although you are starting to feel the work-load, I have ample evidence that you are ahead of the previous cohorts of students in terms of skills and mastery...so just stay focused on the end goal, work as hard as you can within reason, and things will work themselves out just fine! Sincerely, Bags Dearest AP World Historians,
The God(s)/Goddess(es)/Universe/Mother Nature/Luck (whatever fits your world-view) has seen fit to get you all a workday by delivering yet another #DaycarePlague to my poor children (don't worry they are on mend but can't go to daycare until tomorrow). Thus, today you should get as caught up, or better yet, get ahead as much as is possible. I will try to be online so email with questions. Read the "Daily Screens" below closely. Sincerely, Bags |
