Day 1 and Day 2: Creating Fairy Tales in Historical Contexts that show the Historical Thinking Skills!
Day #1 and #2 centered around the AP Historical Thinking Skills. Students were tasked with grouping up, choosing a fairy tale (we used Little Red Riding Hood as an example, but students could choose any they wanted) and then recreating it in a historical context of their choice (i.e. 3 Little Pigs in Medieval Europe, etc.). We also worked on Student Biography Notecards, and discussed the first set of Reading Packets (see below) in terms of what students are supposed to do, how they'll show their knowledge, etc. Good start you guys, love my groups this year once again! - Bags
