Wed. 9/21 - "Learning Target" and "Read/Watch" packet discussion, then some video, notes and discussion on "Water & Classical Civilizations"

9/21/2016

Today we started by examining the "Learning Target" and "Read/Watch" guides for Period 2 "Classical Era - Organization and Reorganization of Human Societies (600 BCE-600 CE). Then we discussed the importance of water to humans in the ancient world and hypothesized about its importance going forward. Then we examined Crash Course #222 "Water and Classical Civilizations" (embedded below) and discussed it. (Question of the day goes to Ella F., who said "This might be a dumb question, but why focus on Khmer and Maya?"...this is absolutely not a dumb question...thinking of the motives is essential! Atta kid Ella!

HW - GetAFives, Crash Courses (we will watch #7 China tomorrow in-class), the Reading Packet (Persia/Greeks part), and your cornell notes.

Test-Corrections in the AM!
